Electrical Estimator
Piquette & Howard Electric Service (P&H Electric) is interviewing for an Electrical Construction Estimator to join their Team. P&H Electric is an Electrical Contractor with a headquarters located in Plaistow, NH with a staff of approximately 300 Employees. P&H has just opened a Massachusetts office in Raynham, MA. This position is for a full time Electrical Estimator to work out of the Raynham, MA office. P&H works primarily in the Life Science, Healthcare, Commercial, and Industrial Market Sectors. The estimating includes Engineered Projects in addition to Design Build and Design Assist Projects.

You do not have to have estimating experience. You do need to have a strong knowledge of electrical systems related to construction. We are open to interviewing anyone from senior level estimators to junior level estimators with little to no experience. We are open to teaching a young, determined, intelligent, go getter how to properly estimate in today’s construction market.
Your compensation package will depend on your level of experience. This position can range from $80,000 to $150,000 per year. There is a full benefit package. The position requires daily work in the office in Plaistow, NH.
Responsibilities:
•Create accurate and complete quantity take-offs from scratch for commercial and industrial jobs of all sizes, in a timely manner
•Input take-offs into an estimating format
•Work with in-house engineering to develop plans and estimates for Design Build/Design Assist projects
•Write bid proposals for projects
•Monitor activities of competitors to ensure a proactive approach with regard to future estimates
•Maintain knowledge of current material and subcontractor pricing to ensure pricing structure of all products and services is profitable and competitive
•Attend meetings with customers and Project Managers
•Negotiate with customers for awards of projects
•Provide upper management with reports on bids won/lost
•Meet productivity goals for bids produced, bids won and minimal margin of error
Qualifications:
•5+ years experience as an estimator for an electrical contractor.
•Thorough knowledge of electrical code requirements
•Proven ability in estimating techniques and cost control methodology
•Proven ability to work with engineer's and architect's drawings
•Verifiable proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong aptitude for learning new technological applications
•Familiarity with estimating software packages (Con Est)
•Familiarity with Bluebeam for onscreen take offs
