Job Summary
The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer will gain hands-on knowledge by performing routine tasks using well defined standards and procedures under close supervision.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
•Work with design team in developing all electrical power generation, distribution, protection and related control systems for projects;
•Preparation of power/control philosophies and drawings;
•Preparation of electrical generation, distribution, rotating, communication and control equipment specifications and datasheets;
•Preparing, electrical models using ETAP, EDSA or SKM;
•Preparation of electrical system calculations;
•Preparation of construction drawings depicting equipment locations, wiring, tray layouts, supports, and lighting;
•Review of project/client specifications and requirements;
•Preparation of layouts and plans for electrical buildings and facilities;
•Preparation of AC and DC load lists from mechanical equipment lists and control systems;
•Preparation of DC and UPS distribution systems;
•Preparation of electrical drawings and construction packages;
•Preparation of Electrical Area Classification drawings;
•Preparation of test and commissioning procedures;
•Preparation of electrical fabrication and construction details;
•Provide support for the preparation of Pre-FEED and FEED cost estimates;
•Provide engineering support to procurement of equipment, skidded packages, and buildings;
•Support and assist field engineering teams during construction, test and commissioning;
•Support Test and commissioning of packages and electrical systems;
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)
Basic or Minimum Qualifications
•Must have a BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (May or December 2025 Graduates Eligible);
•For candidates with engineering degrees attained outside the U.S., the candidate must have attained an E.I.T. designation from a U.S. based state licensing board;
•Requires zero (0) to one (1) year experience in engineering design and/or project management of oil and gas and/or industrial facilities;
•Requires the ability to travel to client sites;
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
•Strong written and verbal communications skills;
•Ability to interact with staff at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
•Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering
•Previous internships in the engineering design in the offshore/onshore oil & Gas industry preferred.

Working Conditions
•Work requires travel to off-site work locations on a periodic basis, and at times for extended periods.
•Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant, facility or terminal environment.
•Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
•Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
•May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
•May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
