The Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls (EIC) Engineer is an essential member of our EIC engineering team. The candidate must be a Professional Engineer ideal registered in Oklahoma or have a current NCEES record and will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in EIC design in either the energy, transmission pipeline, or petrochemical industries. As a member of Lanmark’s EIC team you will perform work as part of a multi-discipline design team with project teams in multiple offices, providing instrumentation, controls, and electrical engineering support to project managers and project teams.
Job Responsibilities:
•Coordinating with the project engineering team for the execution of the design of projects
•Instrumentation Specification (selection, technical data sheets, bid analysis and recommendations) and Procurement for field instruments and control systems
•Design and review the engineering work packages and construction work packages including:
•instrument location drawings
•I/O lists and assignments
•instrument UPS load requirements lists
•area classification drawings
•control system architecture diagrams
•communication block diagrams
•building, control room, and MCC layouts
•control panel, marshalling cabinet, junction box, and communication cabinet layouts
•AC power distribution, DC power distribution
•cause and effect diagrams/shutdown key
•Reviewing and maintaining project schedules, and tracking engineering tasks and deliverables in conjunction with project management
•Participating in design reviews and HAZOPs as required
•Maintaining current knowledge of industry and regulatory standards
•Adhering to Lanmark’s Quality Management System (QMS)
•Ensuring design is in accordance with applicable codes and requirements, including Lanmark and client specifications and standards
•Assigning and outlining work for others, and reviewing work for technical accuracy and adequacy
•Authenticating documentation with a professional engineering stamp as required
•Performing FAT, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
•Ensuring that all work is properly checked in accordance with Lanmark and client Standards & Procedures
•Responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelines
Qualifications:
•Professional Engineer registered with either the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors (OKPES) or NCEES
•A minimum of 5 years of EIC engineering experience
•Experience at an EPCM in the energy, transmission pipelines, or petrochemical industry is preferred
•Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with an accredited American or Canadian university (or equivalent); electrical, instrumentation, and/or controls specialization preferred
•Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary engineering deliverables for project execution specific to energy, transmission pipelines and petrochemical industries
•Extensive knowledge of pneumatic and electrical instrumentation specification selection for various energy and petrochemical processes
•PLC, DCS industrial control network knowledge
•Strong knowledge of control applications including control loop definitions and interlocking systems
•Design and specification experience with single-line, control loop, area classification drawings
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strong interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude
