Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
The EH&S Regulatory Specialist will report to the VP of Regulatory and focus time predominantly in our Central Asset locations generally but New Mexico specifically. The position will be officed in any of our Texas or New Mexico offices. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local laws/regulations and DGOC internal policies and procedures. Special focus will be placed on:
- Application of knowledge of NMOCD, NMSLO, BLM and reclamation to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Support environmental regulatory compliance with NOV and NOV Response.
- Knowledge of operator name change, Tier Two, Permit Transfers and other requirements associated with acquisitions and divestitures.
- Support Operations in forecasting Inactive Wells and maintaining detailed notes documenting production.
- Support operations in biweekly Regulatory updates to help facilitate optimal planning
- Support operations in Asset Retirement of wells on State and Federal lands.
- Facilitate and maintain strong relationships with Regulatory Agencies in our Central footprint.
- Collaborate with EHS and other Regulatory teams as needed on special projects
- Participate in all team functions and meetings
- Participate in Safety and other operational team meetings
- Perform internal audits and prepare findings for leadership
- Project Management: Lead and prioritize multiple concurrent projects, ensuring thorough evaluation for optimum results.
- EH&S Program Management: Directly manage multiple EH&S programs in support of company assets.
- Self-Direction: Perform primarily self-directed tasks in the area of responsibility.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate near misses and incidents to gain learning and improvement opportunities.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health, Safety, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus.- 5+ years of prior experience within the natural gas and oil production industry with a focus on regulatory. New Mexico experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft BI, and data systems (incident tracking, production reporting, Enertia).
- Capable of advanced analytics and can assemble data from multiple systems for reports, presentations, and dashboards.
