Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Responsible for all activities related to electrical and control integrity which includes:

- Design, install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and adjust various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, and Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems

- Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment

- Perform Inspection and Maintenance (I & M) checks on control systems.

- Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution

- Perform advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing. Lead efforts to develop and implement changes as a result of the analytical testing

- Evaluation/development/implementation/maintenance of facility grounding systems

- Install, analyze and repair security/intrusion systems

- Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed

- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements

- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns

- Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.

- Oversee the construction, maintenance and/or work activities performed by 3rd parties.

- Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence

- Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself

- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance

- Other duties as assigned


Position Requirements


Minimum Requirements


Education:


- High School Diploma or GED


Experience / knowledge and/or familiarity:

- Understand and operate various electronic test instruments

- Good record of safe work practices.

- Working knowledge and/or experience preparing drawings of electrical circuits

- Working knowledge and/or experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams

- Working knowledge and/or experience applying and interpreting results from common electrical measurement instruments (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc.)

- Knowledge of National Electric Codes

- Ability to estimate installation, operating and maintenance expenses associated with electrical and control systems.

- Ability to complete work assignments with minimal supervision in an acceptable time frame


Certifications, licenses, registrations:

- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.

- May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties


Competencies, skills, and abilities:

- Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operation systems and other company software)

- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)

- Good verbal and written communications skills

- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules

- Ability to complete work assignments with minimal supervision in an acceptable time frame

- Detail-oriented

- Ability to mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself

Physical demands:

- Physical ability to lift as much as 50lbs, bend/stoop, kneel and climb stairs/ladders

- Climb to heights exceeding 150 feet

- Ability to use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use such as simple grasp and twisting motion included


Working conditions:

- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

- Respond to/address callouts and emergencies outside of regular business hours.

- May be required to carry a company-provided cell phone/pager, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.

- Travel as needed

- Job level commensurate with experience and skill set
