Position Summary
The Operations Manager – Digital Solutions is responsible for overseeing the seamless delivery of offshore communications and network services, managing technical teams (as applicable)—including the Service Delivery Management (SDM) team overseeing DS operations—and coordinating with stakeholders to maintain high-performance standards. This role ensures compliance with industry and client requirements, drives operational excellence, and fosters strong client relationships. The position requires deep operational technology expertise, leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills of complex solutions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of Digital Solutions the Americas, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with industry standards and customer agreements.
- Oversee planning, execution, and completion of Digital Solutions projects, from installation to maintenance, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Oversee Profit & Loss (P&L) for assigned operations, including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring financial performance, and implementing corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Manage and coordinate participation in end-to-end service management and integration activities as required by clients, including project handovers into operational support.
- Manage the Service Delivery Management (SDM) team responsible for overseeing Digital Solutions (DS) operations, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure optimal team performance and service delivery.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet operational needs, including managing equipment, tools, personnel deployment, and ensuring services are adequately resourced with relevant skills and capabilities.
- Ensure all operations comply with offshore safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and relevant certifications (e.g., HSE standards).
- Implement performance metrics and reporting systems to track and improve operational efficiency, including equipment uptime, team productivity, service quality, and client reporting.
- Ensure prompt identification and resolution of client issues or requests, escalating as needed, and ensuring issues are resolved in accordance with governance models.
- Identify potential risks in operations and develop mitigation strategies to address operational challenges.
- Drive internal service review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality, and processes.
- Ensure third-party vendors and procurement items are properly managed.
- Coordinate with Financial Administrator during business close to ensure data/documentation availability and accuracy.
- Assist Service Delivery Managers in tracking and submitting all completed/ongoing projects for monthly invoicing.
- Assist with vendor selection, building relationships with equipment suppliers, and supporting contract negotiations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management or clients.
- Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and staff engagement efforts to foster a positive work environment.
- Participate in company social responsibility programs or community engagement activities.
- Participate in the recruitment process including interviews and providing feedback on potential candidates for technical and operational roles.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in the communications and network industry and share relevant insights with the team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or relevant combination of education and experience).
- Minimum 5years of experience working as a Service Delivery Manager, Project Manager or IT Operations Leader.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with WAN, LAN and IT desktop technologies.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with IT monitoring and management tools e.g., SolarWinds.
- Experience in external client facing role.
- Experience within oil and gas organizations.
- Knowledge of offshore communication services.
- Knowledge of project management processes, techniques, and tools.
- Has a business and goal-oriented mind-set.

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
