What you'll do as a Warehouse Driver Perform work in all weather conditions Receive, inspect, store and secure all supplies and materials when delivered Assist warehouse and shop with various tasks as assigned Safely transport, load and unload materials and heavy equipment including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer, Vacuum Truck/Trailer, and much more Responsible to make sure all loads are properly secured per DOT and company regulations Make sure, when necessary, all necessary permits are obtained before transporting The Driver shall follow all safety rules at all times. Follow DOT and FMCSA Regulations and keep all required paperwork handy at all times The Driver shall maintain hours of service log The Driver shall not engage in unsafe acts The Driver is expected to attend and participate in all safety meetings and training The Driver shall use all prescribed safety equipment that is required to safely do the job at hand The Driver shall report unsafe acts or conditions to his or her immediate Supervisor or Safety Personnel The Driver shall report any and all injuries, accidents and/or incidents immediately their immediate Supervisor Travel to and from various jobsites and locations with occasional overnight stays, as needed Other duties as assigned What you'll need To be 21 years of age or older (to be able to drive across multiple state lines in CDL vehicles per DOT and FMCSA regulations) Authorization to work in the United States for this company Knowledge of all USDOT & FMCSA safety regulations Able to safety drive a vac or water truck, flat bed and/or other commercial vehicles as required within driver license guidelines and with the required drivers license endorsements Minimum two (2) years of previous experience or training Knowledge and understanding of "safety systems" associated with equipment operation including set-up and emergency procedures Knowledge and understanding of loading, unloading, securing and transport procedures for equipment Knowledge and understanding of the proper care of equipment including hours of service requirements Must have a CDL Class "A" driver's license The ability to do math equation and summaries for reporting work completed. This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle, hold and maintain a CDL Class "A" driver's license and clean driving record (no DUIs or serious traffic violations.) Responsible for cleanliness of vehicle Additional qualifications (if applicable) Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check Must have a valid commericial driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment driving record check Physical abilities & exposures Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and frequently lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and may be subject to adverse conditions such as high humidity, high temperatures, high wind, extreme cold, rain, sleet, and snow. The outside work environment will vary throughout the workday including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings and/or rural settings. The employee is occasionally exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock.
