As a Drilling Manager, you will play an important role in the drilling activities associated with uranium exploration and production operations. This includes supervising drill crews, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing drilling performance, managing contractors, and supporting geological and engineering teams with high-quality core and data acquisition. This successful candidate will bring extensive experience in drilling management, preferably within the uranium or oil and gas industry. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Lead and coordinate all phases of drilling operations (exploration, development, production), ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to regulatory standards.
· Supervise and mentor drilling personnel and contractors to maintain high performance and safety standards.
· Manage site-specific drilling logistics, including dirt work planning and supervision, road access, pad preparation, mud pit excavation, reclamation, water management, and overall site readiness for drilling operations.
· Develop and implement drilling plans and schedules in collaboration with geology, engineering, and environmental teams.
· Monitor drilling metrics, costs, and progress; adjust operations to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
· Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, including radiation safety and reporting requirements specific to uranium operations.
· Manage contractor relationships, including performance reviews, contract compliance, and cost control.
· Ensure proper maintenance, inspection, and mobilization/demobilization of drilling rigs and associated equipment.
· Implement and maintain robust QA/QC protocols for drillhole logging, casing, and completions.
· Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly drilling reports to management.
· Participate in budgeting and forecasting for drilling programs.
· Support the implementation of drilling best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Assist and manage post-drilling activities, such as well development, casing integrity tests, and coordination with wellfield technicians
· Commitment to safety in all aspects of work.
· This is a salary exempt position that involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in all work-related activities.
· Must be able to recognize hazardous conditions, follow company safety policies and practices and to engage in a strong safety culture.

· A High School diploma or GED required; an associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
· 10+ years of progressive experience in mining or drilling operations
· 5+ years in a supervisory or superintendent-level role.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
