We are actively seeking a Drilling Engineering Co-Op Student to join our Lloydminster Conventional Drilling, Completion and Construction Team in Calgary. Reporting to the Drilling Engineer, this role is responsible for supporting drilling engineering activity for Strathcona’s Lloydminster Conventional assets. The role will work with drilling operations staff and the asset team to optimize the drilling plans, cost estimates, directional drilling and field coordination.
This term will begin January 2026 and will be available for a 12+ month term.
- Daily monitoring and reporting of drilling activities.
- Work closely with field operations staff to optimize running times.
- Assist drilling engineer with day-to-day requirements as needed.
- Project reviews and lookbacks.
- Assisting Construction superintendent with survey plans, site placement and preliminary work.
- Enrolled in an Engineering Co-op or Internship program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – adaptable to a wide range of personalities.
- Thrive in a collaborative team setting, intrinsically motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
