Division Order Technician
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The position of Division Order Technician will be in Mewbourne Oil Company’s Tyler, Texas corporate office and will focus on providing essential support to the department's management, Landmen and Division Order Analysts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operating under close supervision, the Division Order Technician will undertake a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
•Scanning and filing Division Order related documents.
•Organizing and mailing documents as needed.
•Analyzing supporting title documentation to process pay code updates and ownership changes.
•Drafting Division Orders, Transfer Orders and Title Curative letters.
•Conducting research on simple title issues to verify and document ownership derivation.
•Answering phone calls and resolving basic Owner Relations inquiries and addressing Division Order-related issues.
•Performing straightforward interest calculations and creating basic spreadsheets.
•Assisting in the management of Division Order-related documents.
•Preparing and analyzing documents to address simple title requirements.
•Researching owner addresses.
•Collaborating with various departments within the company to assist with the Escheatment process.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•0-3 years of experience working in an office environment, preferably within a Land or Real Estate office.
•Attention to detail and ability to adhere to established procedures.
•Knowledge and experience in the operation of small office machines, such as scanning devices, postage meters, and copy machines.
•Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
•Familiarity with certified mail and return-receipt mail procedures.
