Operations Technician II

What you’ll be working on…
•Must have all qualifications of Gas Utility Worker and in addition:
•Must be able to review and repair DCU and MTU/ERT systems.
•Must be capable of utilizing STAR systems and generating reports.
•Must have demonstrated the ability to perform duties responsibly and safely.
•Must be familiar and capable of following the company's policies, practices and procedures.
•Must be able to distinguish between propane and natural gas and recognize differences in their application, utilization, measuring and handling.
•Must possess calm judgment and be willing to act on it in emergencies.
•Must be able to identify meters and regulators by size and type.
•Must be familiar with Federal, State, and Local Rules and Regulations applicable to their job.
•Must be able to make clear and legible drawings and/or written records of work operations.
•Must be capable of operating and performing minor maintenance on trenchers, boring equipment, electric generators, air compressors and hydraulic pumps as required.
•Must be able to use pipe locating equipment and leak detection and locating equipment.
•Must be certified to perform P.E. heat fused and mechanical joints.
•Must be able to diagnose and repair residential and commercial pressure regulators.
•Must be able to satisfactorily perform taps up to 4” or larger dependent upon location.
•Required to be On Call Duty rotation.
•Must be able to pass the all training requirements required for to this position.
•Perform odorant "sniff tests" at consumer location. Perform periodic odorant reads using electronic measurement equipment
•Must be capable of utilizing company technology equipment to perform assigned work.
Who you are...
•Valid Florida Driver’s License (E)
•High School Diploma required
•Basic computer skills to include MS Outlook, Excel and Word
•Required Operations Tech II Operator Qualifications
