NVI, LLC is seeking a proactive and improvement-focused Safety & Compliance Director to join our team. The Safety & Compliance Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s safety and regulatory compliance programs. This role ensures all operations align with federal, state, local, and industry standards, while fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the company.
The Director of Safety & Compliance is responsible for the following assignments:
- Ensure the Company’s Value, Mission, Ethics and Quality Policies are integrated into the department’s business plan.
- Lead a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on safety and regulatory matters.
- Manage the organization and implementation of the health, safety and environmental program throughout the NVI Companies.
- Implement strategic educational development in key areas identified by the organization to improve employee awareness of safety practices and risks within the General Industry of OSHA.
- Develop and manage employee’s safety skills & competencies by using computer based, instructor led and project site development techniques.
- Perform onsite behavior
- Responsible to manage the Personal Protective Equipment required to perform Company’s services throughout the U.S.
- Lead the incident investigation team throughout the organization, develop comprehensive root cause reports and strategic response actions to reach the organization’s zero incident goal.
- Manage and track lagging indicators experienced by the Company for the development of proactive measures to reduce incidents companywide.
- Manage the Company’s overall compliance with subcontractor safety information systems to ensure the best results are achieved. These systems include, but are not limited to: (1) ISNetWorld; (2) PEC Premier/Veriforce, Avetta, EWN, NCMS, DISA, etc.
- Responsible for traveling to divisional and project locations for continuous improvement of NVI’s safety program and culture.
- Manage emergency action plans for projects, offices and natural disasters.
- Lead office security compliance for all offices nationwide.
- Lead presentations for management, client, and/or continuous learning/development meetings throughout the year.
- Manage project safety and operator qualification requirements of clientele.
- Any other responsibilities that are essential to maintain and develop an industry leading Safety Program.
- High School Diploma, G.E.D.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and able to pass an MVR evaluation.
- Valid TWIC TSA background identification card.
- Able to pass Fit for Duty Testing and Drug/Alcohol policies/procedures.
- Industry educational history from an accredited university or health & safety organization.- 5+ years of leading a health and safety program of an organization. - 7+ years of knowledge and experience in the general industry of OSHA.
- History of successful performance in a leadership role as a safety professional.
