Kaukauna Utilities is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance & Administration Director to join our organization. This critical role serves as the Chief Financial Officer of our utility, overseeing financial strategy, accounting operations, customer service, billing, procurement, communications, and administrative services.

Direct and supervise daily accounting operations and financial staff.
Ensure accurate financial reporting, payroll, and compliance with accounting standards.
Lead budgeting, auditing, cost accounting, and long-range fiscal planning.
Oversee customer service operations, billing procedures, and customer relations policies.
Supervise the Communications Coordinator and align external messaging with strategic goals.
Evaluate and enhance financial software systems and technology integration.
Present financial reports and insights to the Utility Commission and external agencies.
Guide insurance, benefits, and compensation programs in partnership with HR.

Expertise in GAAP, utility rate structures, financial forecasting, and budgeting
Proficiency in modern accounting systems and office management tools
Ability to manage multiple teams, systems, and priorities effectively
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance (required)
3-5 years managing financial/accounting operations (utility experience preferred)
5-7 years in business operations, accounting, or bookkeeping
Requires occasional travel and after-hours availability for emergencies
Monthly attendance at Utility Commission meetings is expected
