Position Title and Purpose of Position
We are seeking a Director of Construction who, under the direction of the Vice President of Operations and in full compliance with the associate handbook and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations provides management and oversight to the construction program. The Director of Construction leads the construction department towards execution of a strategic plan that’s related to construction. The position establishes priorities and determines resource allocation for the effective and efficient delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary
The salary range for this role is $120,000.00 to 150,000.000 USD, salary commensurate with experience. An Annual Bonus Target representing 10% of your annual base salary/annual wages is paid based on meeting both organizational and individual targets.
Major Responsibilities of Position
•Ensure “as-built” documentation is provided to Engineering in a timely fashion. Use the findings to recommend continuous improvement.
•Tracking and controlling the construction schedules and the associated costs for achieving project completion within the budget and time allotted.
•Reporting to the senior management on the progress of a project and necessary modifications to be executed.
•Supervising immediate subordinates (Electricians, Crew Leaders) to manage installers, subcontractors and schedules that are related to the daily construction issues of a project.
•Review and pproval of weekly time sheets including oversight of prevailing wage work plans to actual time worked.
•Manage the schedule for all self-performing personnel through direct oversight of the Operations Manager (scheduler)
•Reviewing progress reports, checking reported difficulties and correcting any safety violation, quality issues or other deficiencies.
•Review of blueprints for brand quality standards and construction feasibility
•Tracking/Notation of all project progression
•Create/Implement procedures and forms for more effective project completion
•Review and coordinate equipment estimates as necessary for project completion
•Coordinate with vendors on necessary estimates, deliveries and concerns if they should arise
•Carry out a review of work progress on a regular basis
•Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks to our projects and Harvest.
•Make sure that construction standards are of high quality and ensure the use of proper construction techniques
•Plan, as well as make decisions to prevent problems and any emerging ones
•Act as Apprentice Committee member offering guidance and feedback to Apprentices to ensure their engagement in the program.
•Make hire, discipline and termination recommendations in alignment with company policy and procedures.
•Support the safety policies to achieve the goal of “zero lost time accidents”.
•Use the training matrix and employee/installer review process to develop the construction crews into professional solar installers.
•Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Certification Background
Valid State Driver’s license. Ability to obtain CDL certification.
High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction or building science, preferred.
Ten years of work experience in construction positions of increasing responsibility.
Work Environment
•Office Environment 70% of the time: Busy office with frequent interruptions and multi-tasking required; standard office equipment is available including Microsoft Office.
•Travel Required 20% of the time: Position supports job site activities therefore daily and overnight travel is required. Harvest values our employee’s work life balance and whenever possible, overnight travel is Monday through Friday. Hotel and transportations costs are covered. Additionally, food per diem is paid for overnight stays.
•Shop Environment 10% of the time: Position supports shop activities therefore, exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid and cold conditions.

Immediately after Hire:
•Nine Paid Holidays per Year. Including: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve.
•Paid Vacation: Vacation time is accrued each week at a rate of 1.693 to achieve 88 hours in the calendar year. Unused vacation can be paid out and/or up to 40 unused hours can be rolled over at year end. In 2025 you will accrue 49 hours.
•Paid Time Off (PTO): 72 Hours are available each year on January 1. PTO Is available to assist you in managing your time off work for personal appointments. PTO does not rollover, nor is it paid out at the end of the year, unused PTO is forfeited. In the first year of employment available hours are prorated based on the date of hire.

•Voluntary Supplemental Programs: Accident, Critical illness, and Hospital Indemnity are available at the associate’s expense. Plans are organized through Allstate and premiums are paid through payroll deduction.
The First of the Month After 90-Days of Employment:
•Harvest Solar 401k Plan: Associates are auto enrolled at a 3% deferral rate. The plan is administered by Vestwell. Auto enrolled contribution is invested in a “Retire-On-Time” plan. Once enrolled, the associate may make changes that include:
+ Increasing the Deferral Rate to the Applicable IRS
Limits: A company match is available. When the associate defers 3%, Harvest Solar matches 3%. When the associate defers 4%, the Harvest Solar the first 3.5%. When the associate defers 5%, Harvest Solar matches the first 4%.
+ Changing the Account
Type: Both a pre-tax and Roth account is available.
+ Changing the Investment
Type: The plan offers standard plans to address risk or age of retirement, or the associate can customize their own investment.
