Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)

Lead the strategic and operational direction of Champion’s technology initiatives, with a focus on supporting the Retail Electricity Industry. Oversee a hybrid development team and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions through Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.

Job Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end technology strategy and execution across all platforms and services.

- Guide and manage a hybrid development team composed of front-end, back-end, mobile (iOS and Android), database, and report developers, with the majority based in India.

- Ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions using Azure cloud services and DevOps pipelines.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align IT initiatives with strategic goals, especially in the Retail Electricity Industry.

- Promote hands-on development and technical leadership across the team.

- Maintain high standards for code quality, security, scalability, and performance.

- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics, data science or related field

- 8+ years of related experience required

- High mathematical and statistical proficiency and experience are required

- Advanced experience with machine learning and common data science toolkits (such as Weka, Scikit-learn, NumPy, MatLab, etc.)

- 3-5 years with query languages such as SQL, NOSQL, Hive, Pig, etc.

- 1-2 years with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, BigQuery etc.

- 1-2 years with scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, R, Java, .NET, Spark, Scala etc.

- Employee may be subject to long periods of sitting.
