Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing, conventional and unconventional, natural gas & oil wells, midstream pipelines, and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma. POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Electrical Director will report to the Vice President of Digital Ops and work as a part of the larger field support group. This position will interface daily with other teams including Measurement and Controls, SCADA, EHS, and the Field Operations and Engineering support teams. The qualified individual will lead the Electrical team for Diversified Energy along with providing field level technical support in the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all infrastructure and electrified equipment used in the production and processing of oil, water, and natural gas.
This position will also participate in developing / deploying standards, assist with acquisition and divestiture of assets, manage employees, and manage/track/plan budgets for the area of operation.
Special focus to be placed on:
- Develop and implement the annual business plan for Electric Operations.
- Oversee and evaluate work processes. Identify and implement process improvements. Monitor ongoing progress and reallocate resources as necessary to ensure goal achievement (Safety, Reliability, and Customer Service).
- Oversee departmental initiatives, the preparation of budgets, and the tracking, cost control, and reporting of operational and capital budgets and expenditures.
- Analyze variances in schedules or budgets and implement corrective actions.
- Work with Diversified EHS on safety standards and training programs for field personnel including electricians, Measurement and Controls, and Operations.
- Maintenance and response planning for power generation, private & Commercial Infrastructure
- Responsible for employee goal setting and objectives while ensuring alignment with departmental and corporate goals.
- Review reports that document performance in meeting departmental, corporate, or regulatory goals and requirements.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, business, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma and 15 years of relevant experience in electric operations, transmission, distribution, system design, or engineering.
- Valid State-Issued Master Electrician License (or equivalent highest-level electrical contractor license) in at least one U.S. state in which DEC operates, with the ability to obtain reciprocity or licensure in other states as needed.
- 10+ years of electrical experience in oil and gas. - 5+ years of experience in leadership roles.- Thorough knowledge of electrical safety standards and codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E).
- Knowledge of electric maintenance delivery practices.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to proactively monitor changing industry trends and develop appropriate strategies/plans.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, and other computer proficiency required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with company management, engineering, and operations staff.
- Must be able to work with a team, take directions from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, and focus attention on details.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work to achieve critical timelines.
- Ability to work safely in challenging environments, including, and not limited to high temperature, noise, dust, and other industrial / oilfield locations.
- Physical requirements include but may not be limited to: Walk up and down stairs/ladders, negotiate uneven surfaces, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and insurer.
- Available for emergency and on-call support.
- Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
- Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
- Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
- Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in the performance of work
- Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
- Lifts or carries 50 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
- Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
- Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline

Driver Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
- This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
