Director, Technical Services

Job Summary:

Are you ready to be the technical powerhouse behind safe and efficient operations in advanced nuclear technology? As the Technical Services Director , you'll lead the engineering engine room—overseeing configuration management, nuclear safety, system engineering, mass spectrometry, non-destructive assay monitoring, lab testing, and more. You're not just supporting operations—you’re the guardian of safety and control, and the problem-solver-in-chief. With the power to stop work when safety is on the line and the authority to chart the technical direction of the facility, this role is where engineering meets leadership at the highest level.

What You Will Do:

You’ll lead the engineering activities by setting scope, schedules, and budgets and ensuring projects meet regulatory, technical, and safety standards. You’ll oversee the design basis, ISA and NCS programs, and ensure strict configuration control. You’ll provide leadership across systems engineering, safety, and technical operations, coordinate with plant leadership and vendors, and manage cross-functional alignment between engineering and operations. From reviewing plans and guiding staff development to supporting license compliance and system performance, you will be at the forefront of innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

We’d Love to Hear From People With:

- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or equivalent technical experience - 4+ years of Engineering experience in a highly regulated rigorous environment

Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance

A Successful Candidate Brings:

- Experience as a technical authority or design basis owner in a nuclear or highly regulated industrial environment

- Experience managing licensed facilities and coordinating with regulatory agencies like the NRC or DOE

- Strong working knowledge of codes, standards, and quality assurance in nuclear engineering

- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills

Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance

In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
