Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Creative Services, the Manager of Digital Media Studio provides a combination of team leadership and hands-on oversight to ensure all aspects of video, photo, audio, and post-production are effectively executed—from ideation and strategic planning to production, delivery, and archiving. This role drives the strategic direction of SRP’s multimedia implementation to support corporate initiatives, brand consistency, and cross-platform content excellence.
The Manager leads a high-performing team of full-time creatives, embedded contractors, and a post-production supervisor, while also collaborating cross-functionally with strategists, creative directors, producers, designers, and business partners across multiple portfolios. The role includes responsibility for capital planning, equipment oversight, creative quality control, workflow systems, and performance analytics. Understanding SRP’s long-standing history, mission, and its unique role in water and power delivery is key to creating compelling and accurate storytelling.
What You'll Do
•Develop and oversee engaging multimedia solutions for marketing, internal communications, community partnerships, and enterprise business support.
•Ensure visual storytelling aligns with SRP’s brand guidelines, look and feel, and meets audience expectations across video, photo, and digital platforms.
•Collaborate with video directors and photographers to review and approve pre-production treatments, scripts, shot lists, on-set execution, and post-production rough cuts.
•Maintain deep knowledge of directing and photography best practices—including working with talent, managing crews, and optimizing client collaboration.
•Ensure that deliverables go through proper pre-production, production, and post-production workflows to avoid costly reshoots or missed opportunities.
•Partner with the Producer on production planning, budget oversight, and vendor negotiation to ensure projects meet creative expectations and financial constraints.
•Manage the full resource capacity of the Digital Media Studio using Adobe Workfront, aligning team members with requests and resourcing embedded contractors as needed.
•Work with the Post-Production Supervisor to lead a team of editors, animators, and sound designers—providing mentorship, quality checks, and post-production pipeline improvements.
•Serve as the main approver of photo toning and color consistency, with an expert-level understanding of Adobe Lightroom, color correction, and brand-aligned visual aesthetics.
•Monitor and manage equipment purchasing and usage through a capital budget, staying up to date on industry tools (cameras, lighting, accessories, etc.) and guiding investments in emerging technology.
•Collaborate with managers of design, copy, and content to ensure cross-functional creative alignment and foster a unified creative team culture.
•Work directly with business partners on enterprise-level photo/video projects, balancing creative integrity with business goals.
•Contribute to maintaining SRP’s vast multimedia archive, ensuring footage and photos are reusable, searchable, and suitable for multichannel distribution. You will be working with our Digital Asset Management team to accomplish this.
•Create and maintain documentation of best practices and workflows to support scalable, sustainable production and post-production operations.
•Coordinate with multiple portfolios and strategists to deliver high-volume, high-quality video/photo content—averaging 400+ deliverables annually.
•Learn and integrate SRP’s deep history into storytelling, understanding how water and power are delivered, including transmission, distribution, reservoirs, dams, pump-back systems and peak operations.
•Maintain and promote SRP’s corporate safety culture, ensuring that all production activities uphold strict safety standards expected in a utility environment.
