JOIN HAMPEL OIL AS A DIESEL MECHANIC Starting Pay - $30-$40/hour What You Will Do:

- Work a typical schedule of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday with weekend hours as needed

- Service our Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks along with forklifts. This work will not only be on the chassis side of the vehicles, but a considerable amount of time will be spent working on pumping systems, lift gates, etc. There may also be times when field repairs are required

- Perform preventative maintenance, monthly inspections

- Perform and analyze diagnostic tests to find faults in vehicles

- Repair steering and suspension systems, transmissions and air braking systems; check vehicle lighting systems and test drive vehicles to gauge performance, minor engine repairs as well

- Work with vendors for preferred pricing and reduction of unit maintenance costs

- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

- Support and demonstrate company culture and values with coworkers and customers

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components

- Knowledge of DOT annual inspection criteria

- Valid CDL A or B driver's license

- Highly organized and detail oriented

- Excellent verbal and written communication

- Team player and collaborator with a positive and constructive approach in all interactions

- Extraordinary work ethic and top notch customer service skills

- Seeking long term employment with a stable job history

What Will Make You Stand Out:

- Degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or similar field

- CDL A or B with Tanker & Hazmat endorsements

- 5+ years in fleet maintenance garage
