Our team is built on a strong foundation of safety, work ethic, and quality craftsmanship. We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to help support the maintenance of our growing fleet.
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a diverse fleet, including pickup trucks, dump trucks, lowboys, trailers, and heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and skid steers. This position plays a critical role in keeping our equipment and operations running safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and brake systems
- Maintain accurate records of service, inspections, and repairs
- Conduct DOT and state vehicle inspections (if licensed)
- Perform post-repair test runs to ensure safe and proper function
- Assist with emergency repairs in the field when necessary
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Support parts ordering, inventory, and shop organization
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Other duties as assigned by the Equipment Manager
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
- Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with a variety of construction and DOT-regulated vehicles
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- CDL Class A (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- PA State Inspection License (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Basic computer skills to log repairs and complete work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Primarily shop-based with occasional field service work
- Outdoor and indoor work in varying weather conditions
- Overtime and weekend availability may be required during peak project times
