Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role involves working on a variety of vehicles and machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on diesel engines, as well as other mechanical systems.

Duties

- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including Caterpillar and other brands

- Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive vehicles

- Conduct inspections and repairs on transmissions, air brakes, alignment, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC

- Utilize hand tools, power tools.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols

- Assist in the assembly of new equipment as required

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair

- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques

- Experience with vehicle maintenance including brake repair, shocks & struts, tire service, and assembly tasks

- Familiarity with Oilfield equipment operation and maintenance practices

- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for equipment repair tasks

- Knowledge of electrical systems and experience as a service technician is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, depending on operational needs.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
