A Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing various mechanical maintenance and repairs on offshore facilities. The role requires expertise in diesel engines, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems on offshore platforms.
Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on Cat Diesel and Detroit 71 & 53 series engines.
•
Service, maintain, and test engine shutdown systems.
•
Troubleshoot diesel engine issues and complete field repairs as needed.
•
Apply knowledge of engine systems and engine controls to ensure proper function.
•
Conduct in-frame overhauls and complete rebuilds when required.
•
Repair pumps and other mechanical equipment as needed.
•
Communicate daily status and production reports to customer representatives.
•
Read and interpret drawings and technical manuals for repair guidance.
•
Promote good housekeeping methods on the platform to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
•
5+ years' experience offshore/in-land as a diesel engine mechanic.
•
Willingness to work a call-out schedule.
•
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
•
Valid TWIC card.
•
Strong troubleshooting skills.
•
Ability to travel by helicopter or boat and use a swing rope.
