Die Setter/Press Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and fabrication, with experience in setting up and operating various types of dies and machinery. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency and quality of our production processes.

Duties

- Performs die changeovers for production lines.

- Completes the first piece approval process.

- Performs die adjustments when needed.

- Performs periodic quality inspections.

- Leads production line in meeting daily production goals.

- Communicates with tool room regarding die issues and product defects.

- Is reliable and punctual in reporting for work as scheduled.

- Maintains professionalism at all times.

- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with machinery and perform routine maintenance as needed.

Requirements

- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility, specifically with die setting or similar roles. 3 years of experience with single hit, transfer, and progressive die setup

- Forklift certification preferred

- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in tooling, assembly, and packaging processes.

- Previous factory or warehouse experience is a plus, along with knowledge of quality control practices.

- · Excellent verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of basic tools, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Knowledge of punch press safety protocols

- Resilient with a positive attitude

- Self-motivated and solid work ethic
