Die Setter/Press Operator

American Ring Manufacturing is recruiting a Stamping Press Operator at our Livonia, Michigan manufacturing plant. This position is Full Time, Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Wage is negotiable based on experience.

Duties:

- Read & interpret blueprints.

- Implement necessary tooling operations.

- Perform operations per print specifications.

- Self-inspect work, burr and break edges & clean part of debris.

- Keep accurate time tickets, including job notes detailing how to improve processes

- Perform daily maintenance on Presses and related equipment.

- Follow safety procedures as required by company policy.

Job Qualifications:

- Ability to read and understand Customer Specifications

- Basic computer skills

- Ability to use general inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gage pins, SPC charts, and mathematics.

- Ability to operate forklift – Hilo

- Capable of performing minor maintenance on machine and tooling

- Two or more years’ experience or equivalent schooling

- Able to set-up and operate Presses and related equipment

- Die setting experience is a MUST

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- Work performed in environment with moderate noise exposure.

- Requires standing, walking, and twisting to move about work areas.

- Reliable verbal and written communication to interact with coworkers and Foreman.

- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

- Requires some visual strain resulting from close detail work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
