Job Description
The Specialist, Design II, reports to the Senior Manager of Retail Sales. The Specialist is expected to be present onsite daily, leveraging their expertise in cabinet design and sales to assist walk-in retail customers, as well as actively prospecting new builders and remodeling contractors within Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas. Their role demands a thorough understanding of product offerings, effective sales strategies, and the ability to build relationships with potential clients.
YOUR ROLE:
•Performs duties on the showroom floor according to the assigned schedule and welcomes customers upon their arrival at the showroom.
•Uses 20/20 design software to create pricing quotes, layouts, and perspectives for customers. Organizes designs and plans in order to quote to customers in order of receipt and need.
•Sells cabinetry, countertops, and hardware to customers and builders.
•Prepares sales proposals and contracts and presents them to customers to promote store products.
•Completes order forms and purchase orders for the manager to order sold products, verifies acknowledgements, and assists in coordinating the delivery of the sold product.
•Prospects new customers outside of the showroom.
•Meets with contractors, plumbers, electricians, and cabinet installers as needed.
•Assists with collection of money due at the time of order and delivery.
•Meets Company’s monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals.
•Develops in-depth knowledge of all MasterBrand strategic business units. Leverages ideas from other reviews and co-workers to provide value-added recommendations and best practices to others.
•Consistently demonstrates the MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment.
•Identifies self-development needs and seeks opportunities to work on areas that will further develop skills.
•Participates in company efforts related to ethics and compliance activities.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
•Creative, conceptual, and customer-centric thinking as well as deep technical understanding of the construction of cabinets.
•Executing the deadlines with the clients and keeping a high attention to details.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Proficient in communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, and consultative selling; able to interact and present clearly and concisely with skilled tradespeople and customers at all levels.
•Customer Support, Phone Etiquette, and Customer Service skills.
•Ability to keep projects organized and well managed.
•Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Able to clearly and articulately present to customers.
•Previous computer designs software preferred.
•Capable of working with tools such as tape measure and digital angle gauge.
•Must have a clean driving record.
•Capability to travel within the local area for jobsite measurements and customer meetings.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•High school diploma is required.
•A college or undergraduate degree is a plus.
•Previous experience in drafting and design is a plus.
