General Expectations:
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties CvI Engineers are expected to:
· Design products and projects in SOLIDWORKS with file storage in PDM.
· Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
· Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and functions.
· Supports the Director of Engineering's objectives.
Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks
•Generate conceptual drawings based on input from team coordination meetings or management.
•Create shop drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2018 (GD&T).
•Apply design principles that meet applicable codes and standards—including, but not limited to, AWS D1.1, D1.3, D1.5; ASME; ISO 9001:2015; NFPA 70; MIL-STD; AFMAN; and OSHA.
•Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering standards, work instructions (WIKI), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
•Engage in hands-on prototype development and assembly to support new-product introduction and improvement.
•Stay current on technological advances through seminars, coursework, and independent research.
•Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on the technical aspects of their projects.
•Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines.
•Produce technical manuals and product guides as required.
•Partner with QC/QA to ensure compliance with standards and to develop acceptance test procedures (ATPs) for products.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
•B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
•Minimum two (2) years of engineering design or related experience.
•Extensive proficiency with SOLIDWORKS, DraftSight/AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
•Experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM.
•Demonstrated strong mechanical, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.
•Experience with structural design, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to pass a background check for access to military installations and on-site surveys.
•Willingness to travel as required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
