The Design QC and Scope of Work Specialist – PV Solar is responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy, completeness, and quality of design documents for utility-scale and commercial solar PV projects. The role also includes the development and oversight of comprehensive scopes of work for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of PV system design standards, quality assurance practices, and project execution requirements.
• Perform detailed reviews of PV system designs, including site layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), stringing plans, equipment specifications, and electrical calculations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, UL), project-specific requirements, and utility interconnection standards.
• Validate solar production estimates using tools like PVsyst and Helioscope.
• Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in design documents before client submission or construction release.
• Coordinate design reviews with internal engineering teams and external consultants.
• Develop clear, technically accurate scopes of work for design, procurement, and construction phases of PV projects.
• Define equipment specifications, installation guidelines, interconnection requirements, and quality benchmarks.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to align scopes with project goals and budgets.
• Support bid processes by preparing scope documents for RFPs and RFQs.
• Maintain standardized templates for different project types
