In this job, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the activities of a team by providing direction and support, assessing, and managing the workload and performance of the team, mentoring, and providing training and development. You will be accountable to provide accurate reporting on department projects status and managing resource needs. This position will interface with departmental, company-wide, governmental, and various external organizations to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities
•Develops designs to strengthen and modernize the grid as well as strategically planning around site specific challenges for new customer service requests
•Oversees proposed construction project plans and blueprints from external entities (cities, developers, etc.) to mediate conflict with transmission facilities and right of ways
•Provides design engineering, cost estimates, and project management activities for overhead and underground, transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution systems
•Designs deteriorated transmission pole replacements, asset decommissioning projects, and maintenance work
•Oversees and ensures a schedule management plan is in place and weekly interface with others inside or outside of the company
•Leads and guides multi-disciplinary teams during the design, construction, and operations of infrastructure projects relative to regulatory requirements, environmental due diligence, and planning
•Creates and monitors business unit budget and directs activities to correct variances
•Oversees the development of critical-path schedules for day-to-day maintenance activities such as maintenance outages
•A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
•Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
•Experience in Electrical Utility Distribution Design, Transmission Design or Distribution Line construction.
•Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
•Seven or more years of experience in planning or project management implementing mulitple projects/programs, including maintaining scope and resources, and overseeing the tracking, and reporting of project/program performance.
•Knowledge of distribution business line and SCE policies, practices, procedures, objectives, and strategies.
•Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
•Experience establishing department objectives and work plans as well as staffing and resource needs.
•Ability to define directions for new processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy for direct report leaders and their employees.
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 365, and programs such as DM, CSRP, GeoView, and Click Schedule.
Additional Information
•This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
•This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
•Position will require up to 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
•This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
•Relocation does not apply to this position.
