A LNG-Hartigan Senior Landscape Designer & Sales Consultant is responsible for meeting with clients, crafting beautiful and functional landscape designs, presenting clear proposals, and closing high-quality projects. They guide customers through the entire process — from initial consultation to final sign-off — while collaborating with field crews to ensure smooth execution and top-tier results. This role blends creativity with strategy, and demands someone who can both envision stunning outdoor spaces and confidently drive sales.
WHAT A DAY IS LIKE: A typical day as our Senior Landscape Designer & Sales Consultant starts with reviewing new leads, prepping for client meetings, and making sure your designs are dialed in. You’ll spend a lot of time onsite or in consultations, listening closely to what clients want, offering expert guidance, and turning their ideas into stunning, buildable designs. After that, it’s about crafting clear, confident proposals — and closing the deal. You’ll work closely with our production team to hand off sold jobs, troubleshoot anything that comes up, and make sure the vision gets executed right. It’s creative, client-facing, and revenue-driven — perfect for someone who can design with purpose, sell with confidence, and manage details like a pro

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Meet with residential and commercial clients to understand their goals, style, and budget
•Design high-end, functional outdoor spaces using industry-standard tools (hand-drawn, 2D CAD, or 3D interactive)
•Create and present clear, professional proposals with accurate scope, materials, and pricing
•Follow up with leads, track open estimates, and close sales with confidence
•Collaborate with production and field teams to ensure a smooth handoff and proper project execution
•Manage revisions, change orders, and client communications throughout the design/sales process
•Maintain a strong knowledge of plants, materials, trends, and construction methods
•Hit or exceed sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction
•Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and ongoing process improvements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Proven experience & successful track record in landscape design and sales (not just one or the other)
•Strong portfolio of residential and/or commercial design work
•Excellent client communication and presentation skills — you must be able to sell
•Proficiency in design tools (CAD, Dynascape, SketchUp, or hand-drawn plans — we care more about results than the method)
•Solid understanding of construction methods, plant materials, grading, and drainage
•Comfortable with job costing, writing estimates, and selling projects $20K–$250K+
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (you’ll be out in the field often)
•Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple active clients at once
•Self-driven and comfortable with a performance-based role (base + commission)
