Purpose of Role: Weir ESCO is seeking an innovative engineer to join the Rope Shovel products team. We are looking for an engineer who will utilize their creativity to solve customer problems, expand our product offerings, and support Weir ESCO strategies. The ideal candidate will have a knack for learning and leveraging these tools to develop high quality products quickly in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design solutions that align with end-user requirements and manufacturing constraints
- Leverage root cause analysis to identify failure modes, gather and interpret customer requirements, and engineer innovative product solutions
- Contribute to the development and optimization of internal design standards, best practices, and standard work procedures
- Conduct experiments and field trials to identify opportunities for product optimization
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
- Minimum of a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Three+ years industry-related experience- Knowledge of welding practices, processes, and standards
- Demonstrated ability to develop inventive solutions to complex engineering challenges
- Effective communication, problem solving, project management, and organizational skills
