Purpose of Role:

Weir ESCO is seeking a creative Engineering Team Lead to join the Rope Shovel Products team. Reporting to the Global Product Manager - Rope Shovel Products, the successful applicant will guide a team of Engineers in optimization of technical processes and outputs to create innovative products which deliver significant value and delight our customers. They will work closely with Product Management to expand the global product offering and respond to market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead technical output of the Rope Shovel Engineering team; ensure output is accurate and appropriate for the tasks involved

- Facilitate team development by fostering technical growth and cross-functional capabilities, while overseeing project prioritization

- Develop and maintain team design standards, and work instructions that ensure product health, safety, and quality

- Support production of Rope Shovel products at various global manufacturing sources

- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers at all levels

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

- Minimum of a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

- Five+ years industry-related experience

- Product design, manufacturing, and field issues resolution experience preferred

- Knowledge of welding practices, processes, and standards

- Prior experience as an engineering team lead (or similar leadership experience), or prior experience with fabricated products desired
