Major Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
•Work independently and in a team environment to analyze requirements from customers and develop design solutions
•Perform engineering design evaluations and present findings to leadership and customers
•Produce engineering drawings and bills of material (BOM) to comply with sales order requirements
•Perform dimensional fit tolerance analysis and functional analysis, which includes form, fit and function
•Produce other required design documentation as required
•Evaluate designs for cost and manufacturability
•Optimizing designs to minimize cost and schedule impacts
•Assist Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing in resolving design (basic to moderate level of complexity), drawing, bill of material and technical issues
•Assist in the resolution of shop floor or vendor manufacturing problems
•Full working knowledge of all engineering processes; workflows, engineering software, tools, and basic product knowledge
•Review peer drawings and BOMs to ensure drawings meet customer requirements and provide feedback as necessary
Education & Experience
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 6+ years of experience of directly-related experience
•Minimum of 5 years experience designing progressive cavity pumps or rotating equipment
•Working knowledge of MIP operating systems (Team Center and PDM Vault) and procedures is essential
•Experience using SolidWorks (Preferred) or equivalent
