Delivery Petroleum Driver

A Petroleum Delivery Driver requires an individual to safely drive a petroleum delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Teamwork. Making deliveries in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager.

- Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.

- This position requires an individual to safely drive a petroleum delivery vehicle to our customer locations.

- This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Teamwork.

- Prior gas delivery experience helpful

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers

- Flexibility to work outside of basic job description

- Excellent customer service skills

- Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment

SKILLS & EXPEREINCE:

- Minimum 2-year CDL license with HazMat/Tanker combination endorsement (X endorsement)

- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.

- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take directions from plant manager.

- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Hazmat endorsement and Tanker endorsement.

- Employees must be capable of frequently lifting cylinders weighing 40-50 pounds.

- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Driving a company vehicle. This job operates in the field, and you will be entering the customers’ homes and/or place of business. Working in hot attics or cold places must always provide an excellent and positive attitude toward the customer. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for propane delivery to customer locations in an efficient, punctual, and safe manner while maintaining and improving customer satisfaction. This position requires a CDL license with hazmat and tank endorsements, high school diploma, at least two years of work-related experience, and physical demands that include regular lifting of 60 pounds.

Essential Functions:

Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance. Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
