We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Coordinator to support our Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, Quality, and Assembly teams by facilitating effective communication and accurate data management. This role requires strong communication skills to convey information across technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, the Data Coordinator may contribute to special projects within the engineering department as needed.
Your primary responsibility is to maintain accurate and structured data within our MRP system, ensuring smooth coordination across multiple departments. You will validate part information, organize bills of material for manufacturing facilities, and generate documentation packages that support both internal and external customers. The role demands flexibility to assist with research and development efforts and other engineering initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety and company policies.
- Enter and maintain data in Line Power’s MRP system (GSS) for parts and assemblies.
- Validate part description formatting and part number sequencing.
- Structure data sets to support bills of material (BOM) across multiple manufacturing and build facilities.
- Translate BOM into cut list formats for production use.
- Generate and distribute hard copy document packages for various groups within EMC facilities.
- Assemble and distribute product manuals for internal and external customers.
- Maintain and track the deficiency database, providing reports as necessary.
- Assist with research and development and new product development activities as required.
- Adapt working hours as needed to support company goals and projects.
- Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience as approved by leadership.
- Basic knowledge of common manufacturing methods such as welding, forming, and machining.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and database management tools.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to move throughout the facility to perform essential duties.
