The Data Center Operations Manager will establish and lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of mission-critical operations to ensure the continuous operation and reliability of data center infrastructure.
· Lead the mission operations team and manage all operational aspects of the mission, including the full mission lifecycle from pre-construction through construction and project closeout.
· Oversee and manage mission resources and processes, such as project scheduling, finances, personnel, field coordination, and project management software.
· Establish and maintain cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless integration of mission objectives.
· Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure equipment.
· Develop and implement Method of Procedures (MOP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP) to maintain a 100% up-time environment.
· Manage change order process to ensure budget compliance.
· Oversee and schedule external vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance is completed safely and projects are completed without downtime.
· Coordinate with stakeholders to identify mission objectives and parameters.
· Develop systems for tracking mission progress and continuously monitor and evaluate mission performance to identify areas for improvement.
· Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the mission, including acting as an escalation point for after-hours issues.
· Prepare and submit competitive bids for data center projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
· Analyze historical data and current trends to develop accurate forecasts for business planning.
· Develop staffing forecasts and pay-level strategies for missions.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including OSHA, EPA, and fire / life safety requirements.
· Five years of related work experience including supervisory experience leading infrastructure projects in data centers, energy, and critical facility operations.
· Strong technical knowledge and operational understanding of data center mechanical and electrical systems.
· Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering related field – or equivalent experience.
· Participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds.
· Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb stairs, twist, bend, work above shoulders, grasp, carry, push and pull objects and pull objects into position.
· Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures or viewing a computer screen.
