Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Owner’s Representative Project Manager (ORPM) to support the construction and delivery of a mission-critical data center project in Mesa, Arizona. The ORPM will serve as an extension of the Owner’s internal project management and controls teams, with responsibility for enforcing quality, cost, safety, and schedule objectives across multiple vendors, contractors, and design teams.
The role requires demonstrated expertise managing complex construction programs, with a preference for experience on large-scale technology or mission-critical facilities. The ORPM will also support commissioning activities, operational integration, closeout documentation, and risk mitigation strategies, while maintaining detailed reporting to ownership leadership.
Candidates must be able to dedicate full-time onsite presence to the project and must possess excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
•Act as an onsite Owner’s Representative at the Mesa Data Center, enforcing project quality, cost, safety, and schedule standards.
•Serve as a liaison between the Owner's internal project management team, vendors, contractors, and design teams.
•Facilitate daily field coordination, risk mitigation, and issue resolution across multiple stakeholders.
•Monitor project controls activities including schedule updates, procurement tracking, and milestone management in alignment with Owner standards.
•Support commissioning activities and operational integration, ensuring alignment with Owner requirements and facility readiness goals.
•Represent Owner interests in vendor and contractor meetings, proactively tracking key deliverables and resolving field-level issues.
•Prepare executive-level reporting and support management reviews, summarizing project status, risks, milestones, and key actions.
•Coordinate project closeout activities, including documentation verification, punch list management, and Owner training integration.
•Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with project-specific environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
Skills:
•Construction Management: Expertise in overseeing all phases of complex, large-scale projects including scheduling, procurement, execution, commissioning, and closeout.
•Project Controls: Ability to support detailed schedule tracking (P6 preferred), milestone management, risk identification, and cost reconciliation in coordination with ownership teams.
•Risk Mitigation: Proactive identification, analysis, and resolution of project risks impacting safety, quality, schedule, or budget.
•Technical Communication: Skilled at preparing executive-level project reporting, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and managing vendor interactions with a focus on clarity and accountability.
•Field Leadership: Hands-on presence onsite to drive adherence to Owner's standards, safety culture, and project deliverables; ability to troubleshoot field coordination issues in real time.
•Client-Focused Mindset: Dedicated to acting as an advocate for the Owner’s goals and values, with strong organizational awareness and the ability to manage sensitive client relationships discreetly.
Qualifications:
Required:
•5+ years of construction project management, owner’s representative, or construction field management experience.
•Proven track record supporting large, complex, multi-phase construction projects ($50M+ individual value).
•Mission-critical, data center, or high-availability infrastructure experience.
•Strong ability to enforce project schedule, cost, and quality controls on behalf of ownership.
•Full understanding of construction procurement, commissioning integration, and field-level project reporting.
•Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to interface at both executive and field levels.
•Ability to be 100% dedicated onsite at the Mesa, AZ location.
Preferred:
•Direct experience supporting major technology clients (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta, or similar).
•Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling, risk management tracking, and procurement log management.
•Experience coordinating commissioning (Cx) activities including test and inspection oversight.
•Proactive problem solver able to identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks early.
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
