CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - HIRING FOR A SPECIFIC, LONG-TERM FENCING PROJECT IN THE SPARKS, NV AREA

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Project Manager works closely with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential to successfully manage the day-to-day operations of a construction site.
* Contract review, comparison to original bid documents to ensure it is congruent to the original submission
*Review project plans, specifications, building codes and job specific requirements
* Production and review of subcontracts for any trade contractors on site
*Production of material procurement lists that meet submittal and spec guidelines, procurement of materials
*Establish project agreements, payment terms for subcontractors and vendors, review and approve
*Create and submit a billing Schedule of Values for the project
*Produce and maintain Critical Path Method based on project costs from bid
*Schedule all inspections and permitting throughout the life cycle of the project
*Communicate and coordinate schedules of all employees, subcontractors, deliverables and equipment on job site
*Provide leadership and technical support to project engineers, field engineers and superintendents
*Ensure all project documents are entered in the project management software
*Periodic site visits to ensure quality control(travel necessary)
*Reports to general contractor and owner about progress and any necessary modifications(change order)
*Review and approval of expenses as applicable to the job cost
*Maintain all asset schedules, including people and equipment
*Financial statement for project(job costing), to be reported weekly during active installation, otherwise monthly
*Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, Revenue and Cost Forecasting and Scheduling
*Project billings and collection of payments in a timely manner
*Assure that direct reporting employees follow safe work practices and use company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner
*Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies
*Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
* 5 years Engineering/Construction Management experience on commercial construction and/or completions of a 4-year bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science and/or Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution
*Knowledge of project estimating, materials costing, and/or working with subcontractors
*Familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, Foundation, Dropbox or similar construction/accounting management software
*Familiarity with state and federal safety standards, accountability for safety on all construction sites
*A valid, state issued driver's license. Must be insurable
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to the function of the position
