Sales Representative - Data Centers (Energy)
Job Summary
The Energy Solutions– Data Centers role is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives for data center power solutions. This role involves identifying and cultivating key client relationships, expanding market presence, and leading high-impact sales efforts to secure large contracts. The Energy Solutions – Data Centers team member will collaborate cross-functionally with Service, Rentals and Engineering to align solutions with client needs.
What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
•Business Development & Market Expansion – Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the data center sector.
•Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, general contractors, and end-users to drive repeat business and referrals.
•Sales Execution – Lead the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, including proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, and finalizing agreements.
•Deal Closing – Utilize a consultative sales approach to overcome objections, create urgency, and drive high-value contract signings in a competitive sales environment.
•Technical Expertise – Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop customized power solutions that meet the high-availability and redundancy needs of data centers, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
•CRM & Sales Reporting – Effectively manage sales pipelines, track sales activities, and provide accurate revenue forecasting using CRM tools to enhance decision-making and sales strategy adjustments.
•Collaboration & Teamwork – Work closely with internal teams, including service, rental, and engineering departments, to ensure a seamless project execution process that enhances customer satisfaction and repeat business.
•Market Intelligence – Stay ahead of industry trends, monitor competitor activities, and leverage emerging technologies to position the company as a leader in data center power solutions.
•Revenue & Performance Goals – Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, ensuring a strong contribution to overall business growth.
•Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure and contract execution.
Knowledge
•Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, cloud solutions, and colocation services.
•Expertise in B2B enterprise sales, solution-based selling, and contract negotiations.
•Familiarity with industry regulations, security standards, and emerging technologies in the data center sector.
Skills
•Strategic sales leadership with a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
•Consultative selling approach, with the ability to translate customer needs into business solutions.
•Strong negotiation and closing skills, with experience managing complex, high-value deals.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging C-level executives and key stakeholders.

What You Need (Requirements)
•5+ Years of sales experience in a similar industry
•In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
•Promote the Company and its product offerings to new and existing customers.
•Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance
Working Conditions
•Travel will be required. A valid passport and ability to enter the US may be required on occasion.
•Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
•Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
•Lifting or moving up to 40lbs may be required.
