Summary:

DMC is currently looking for a Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist (Projects) to join our team in Sudbury, ON. Reporting directly to the Site Engineering Manager; the Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist (Projects) will be responsible for working with different stakeholders across the organization to verify dashboards, data sources and provide analysis as required.

Responsibilities:

•

Work with the internal and external partners on data capture.

•

Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization.

•

Present results of analytical results clearly to the internal team, including Senior Leadership.

•

Understand data attributes, source systems and limitations.

•

Basic understanding of BI concepts & tools.

•

Design interactive visual reports using Power BI, experience in creating data-rich dashboards and writing DAX expressions in Power BI.

•

Analyzing data and present data through reports that aid decision-making.

•

Basic knowledge creating relationships between data and developing tabular and other multidimensional data models.

•

Create customize charts and custom calculations as per requirements.

•

Work with users and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions.

•

Other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

•

2+ years of experience in data management and systems or sourcing and summarizing data for reporting.

•

Proficient in MS Office 365 products.

•

Basic knowledge of Power Apps: flow, forms and power automate.

•

Prior experience in analytics and/or BI tools.

•

Intermediate Excel user.

•

SharePoint familiarity: usage, setup and design is considered an asset.

•

Experience working on cross-functional, cross cultural teams and stakeholders.

•

Capable of influencing without explicit authority.

•

Desire and ability to learn new technologies and apply that learning in Project controls, Engineering and Finance.

•

Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to explain data and dashboards to an audience with a variety of technical skills.

•

Self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot issues and deliver high quality work with minimal supervision.

•

Adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

•

High level of attention to detail.

•

Candidate should exhibit strong personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness.

•

Strong willingness/desire to improve and/or streamline processes.
