Base Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 + Annual Bonus Opportunity
Shift Time: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Description:
The Customer Service Specialist plays a key role in building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with customers, prospects, and internal teams. This position focuses on delivering exceptional service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, providing product and service guidance, and ensuring accurate order processing and follow-up. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication and data entry skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to understanding and anticipating customer needs. In addition, this role supports sales initiatives, maintains customer records in the CRM, assists with quotes, competitive research, and technical knowledge management, and actively participates in industry and product-related training opportunities.
What does Klauer ask of you? - Essential Duties of the Customer Service Specialist are as follows:
- Serve customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems.
- Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services.
- Maintain customer records by updating account information.
- Recommend potential products or services to management by analyzing customer needs.
- Customer order data entry
- Provide customers with a clear understanding of their order, delivery dates, invoicing, and warranties.
- Assist in building and maintaining a technical knowledge base.
- Assist and follow up on quotes.
- Assist in conducting competitive research and analysis.
- Assist outside sales representatives as needed.
- CRM data entry of prospects and customers
- Attend industry and product-related training programs, conferences, seminars, and educational forums as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Possesses strong skills in data entry.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in customer service or sales in the manufacturing industry.

- Associate's degree in a related field preferred.

Extended periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer or attending meetings. Regular use of hands and fingers to type on a keyboard, operate a mouse, perform other computer-related tasks, and manipulate small objects. Ability to view computer screens for extended periods and differentiate colors, fonts, and details on the screen. Occasional lifting weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to reach for items stored in cabinets or on shelves above or below desk level. Ability to hear and speak clearly for communication purposes, both in person and over the phone. Ability to move within the office space, including walking to different areas, standing for short periods, and navigating around furniture and equipment. Endurance to maintain focus and productivity during regular working hours. Maintaining proper posture to prevent strain or injury, including adjusting chair and monitor heights for ergonomic comfort.
