CNNGA is hiring a Customer Service Representative.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. Under general supervision, performs various customer service and clerical functions to provide efficient and effective customer service. Assists customers with billing inquiries, complaints, and requests. Reports to the Accounting & Customer Service Manager.
· Provide courteous and effective customer service. Assist customers with orders, payments, inquiries, complaints, and requests related to billing and services. Answers office telephone; assists callers or routes calls to appropriate staff person.
· Perform routine bookkeeping functions, including posting to proper accounts all customer payments; calculating amounts due; adjusting customer bills as necessary; setting up customer payment schedules; balancing daily receipts; preparing and making bank deposits; handling returned checks; etc.
· Performs computer data entry to record and retrieve various information and to prepare documents and correspondence.
· Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits various records and reports including registers, notices, deposit slips, service line applications, transfers/adjustments, checks, vouchers, work orders, balance sheets, receipts, various accounting forms and reports, memos, correspondence, etc.
· Primarily interacts and communicates with Office Manager, other administrators within the Authority, co-workers, customers, bank personnel, and post office personnel.
· Performs various clerical duties as necessary, including but not limited to typing, filing, and copying documents; faxing information; processing daily mail; answering telecommunication with field personnel; picking up mail from post office; picking up documents from bank; etc.
· Operates and maintains a variety of equipment such as a computer, printer, scanner, calculator, telephone, copier, fax machine, postage machine, postage scales, etc.
· Assists in maintaining a neat and clean workplace.
· Adheres to and enforces applicable safety standards.
· Attends required meetings, planning sessions, and discussions.
· High school diploma, or an equivalent combination
· Must possess and maintain a valid state of South Carolina driver's license.
· Must pass and maintain pertinent Operator Qualifications test(s) and certification(s) for covered tasks, as necessary.
· Associate’s degree in a Technical or Business-Related Field
· 3 years’ experience in a natural gas industry or related field.
· 3 years’ experience in business or customer relations
