Crane Operator and Material Handler

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scrap metal and heavy equipment operation, ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials on-site. This role is essential for maintaining workflow.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy machinery, including M318D Crane (Magnet and Grapple).

- Manage the loading and unloading of materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular inspections and basic maintenance.

- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and ensure timely project completion.

- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.

- Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites as needed.

Experience

- Previous experience on scrap metal or construction sites is highly desirable.

- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is essential.

- Familiarity with operating various types of machinery such as forklift, skid steers, etc.

- Experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is a plus.

- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required depending on the specific duties assigned. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
