Responsibilities

- Follow all company safety policies and immediately report any hazards or deficiencies

- Attend all mandatory training and safety meetings

- Maintain cleanliness and organize materials in assigned work areas

- Operate 3–5-ton bridge cranes and 6,000 lb propane sit-down forklifts

- Conduct daily equipment inspections for forklifts, cranes, and controls

- Load/unload trucks and stock materials using dual hoist bridge cranes or forklifts

- Report unusual equipment noises or malfunctions

- Assist with stock checks and inventory counts as directed

- Support training efforts for new employees when needed

- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in material handling or crane operation

- Skilled in crane capacity limits, rigging, and safe handling of large and irregular steel materials

- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability

- Able to calculate weight of materials and accurately read tape measures

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally

Physical Requirements

- Must be able to walk the warehouse floor and reach shelving by stretching, squatting, and lifting

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
