I. Position Description
The Director of Revenue Billing, Cost Accounting and Inventory Management plays a critical role in supporting Ecobat’s financial operations by delivering accurate billing, costing, and financial reporting. The Director of Customer Billing and Cost Accounting plays a critical role in supporting Ecobat’s financial operations by overseeing the billing processes, cost accounting, and financial reporting. This position ensures timely and accurate billing of customers, maintains appropriate accounting entries in A/R, Inventory, Cost of Sales and Revenue, and provides audit-ready data and analyses to senior leadership. The Director will collaborate with various departments to optimize billing and cost accounting practices and support the company's financial goals. Prepare and analyze monthly production and spending data for inventory cost reporting.
•Ensure accurate and timely billing of conversion customers in alignment with contract terms
•Maintain accurate records in financial systems including A/R, Inventory, Cost of Sales and Revenue.
•Provide detailed audit support and financial reporting upon request
•Participate in monthly close by preparing journal entries and supporting documentation
•Direct and assist plants in conducting periodic physical inventory counts including maintenance spares. Manage all physical inventory adjustments and supporting root cause documentation.
•Develop/Update and implement Inventory, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition policies, procedures and relevant controls over these processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Oversee and manage the customer billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
•Develop and implement cost accounting strategies to improve financial performance.
•Maintain accurate records in financial systems including A/R, Inventory, Cost of Sales and Revenue.
•Prepare and analyze monthly production and spending data for inventory cost reporting.
•Provide detailed audit support and financial reporting upon request.
•Participate in monthly close by preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.
•Conduct and record physical inventory counts.
•Support external and internal audits with clear documentation and timely responses.
•Track and evaluate physical inventory performance and calculate gain/loss.
•Perform and support timely month-end close processes.
•Review A/R and inventory reconciliations and address open items.
•Monitor and update reserve or Inventory and AR, including Inventory NRV analysis.
•Manage and develop team including cross training of all positions.
II. Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Required).
•5–7 years of experience in billing and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment (Required).
•Strong knowledge of SAP (Required)
•Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
•Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
III. Physical Requirements & Work Environment
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
•Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
