The Opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Corrosion Engineer who combines strong technical capabilities with a service-oriented mindset. You’ll work closely with our Corrosion Program Manager and field teams, leading field assessments, developing engineered solutions, and helping clients build sustainable, prevention-first maintenance programs.
This is a visible, collaborative role that requires comfort with site work, practical problem-solving, and professional communication with stakeholders from the field to the boardroom.
What You’ll Do
•Lead field-based corrosion audits, inspections, and risk assessments
•Analyze corrosion data and asset condition metrics to identify root causes and develop practical solutions
•Support and guide coating and material selection reviews, specifications, and QA/QC
•Provide input on cathodic protection design, testing, and maintenance strategies
•Write high-quality, actionable technical reports and present findings to clients
•Participate in project planning, proposal writing, and technical outreach
•Act as a trusted technical partner—coaching client teams, building stakeholder relationships, and promoting program adoption in the field
•Engage in failure analysis and design reviews of asset degradation
•Collaborate with our internal specialists and client teams to advance proactive, lifecycle-based corrosion management
What You Bring
•Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Materials or Chemical Engineering
•Minimum 5 years of direct experience in corrosion, coatings, NDT, or inspection
•Demonstrated field experience and comfort working onsite in operational environments
•Strong interpersonal skills—you’re approachable, respectful, and build trust across diverse teams
•Solid project management, time management, and communication skills
•High-quality writing and presentation ability—translating technical insights clearly for varied audiences
•Humility and professionalism when handling objections or resistance
•Fluency in English required; French at a conversational level is strongly preferred (language support available)
•Eligibility to work in Canada (Canadian citizen or permanent resident) is mandatory due to project requirements

Home base will be at the client premises in Ottawa, where you will be expected in-person in the office a minimum of 3 days a week. This position will require occasional travel, including regular check-in meetings in Toronto with the core team, as required.
Base wage starts at $90,000 and will depend on experience. A 10% discretionary bonus will be offered based on your performance and the annual performance of the company.
