Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, budgeting, and regulatory reporting. This role is pivotal in managing cash flow, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing strategic insights to support the organization’s financial goals.
This individual will report to the President and COO. The controller will be responsible for managing the financial day to day operations of the company and reporting the financial impact to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
•
Oversee all aspects of accounting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
•
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
•
Streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
•
Keep necessary documentation for regulatory reporting.
•
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
•
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivables processes
•
Manage costs such as insurance partners and other providers to ensure cost efficiency
•
Provide guidance to operations and administrative team
Experience
•
Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
•
Strong knowledge of budgeting, cash management, and accounting practices.
•
Proficiency in financial software applications and tools.
•
Familiarity with regulatory reporting standards and compliance requirements.
•
Demonstrated ability to apply financial concepts effectively in decision-making processes.
•
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
•
Strong communication skills to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications
•
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
•
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
•
Excellent communication skills while still upholding confidentiality
•
Strong leadership experience
•
Highly Organized
•
Experience in Oil & Gas preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
