WestCorp Solutions is seeking two Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE) Coordinators to support our client at their remote site in Northern Saskatchewan. The initial contract is anticipated to be approximately 1 year in length, further extensions will be based on the client’s operational requirements at that time. The successful candidate will work 14 days on, 14 days off, 11-hour days and stay in camp during scheduled shifts. There are client-chartered flights from Saskatoon and travel reimbursement available for connecting flights from the candidate's home location.
Key Responsibilities
•Ensure all lockout and energy isolation processes and systems are up-to-date, properly resourced, and compliant with OH&S regulations and site policies.
•Maintain documentation and readiness of all lockout/tagout resources.
•Provide site-wide oversight for lockout, confined space, and break-in activities.
•Act as the primary liaison between Operations, Maintenance, Contractors, and Project Management teams.
•Coordinate with Safety and Training departments to update lockout policy and deliver training as needed.
•Work closely with Coordinators and Planners to ensure tasks are properly planned and scheduled.
•Participate in daily and weekly planning and coordination meetings.
Qualifications
•Journeyperson certification in Electrical/Instrumentation or Mechanical trades (required)
•WHMIS certification and successful completion of site-specific orientation and Pre-Access training (including substance testing) prior to start.
•4–10+ years of experience in an industrial plant or mill environment, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
•Proven expertise in energy isolation procedures and confined space safety, with strong knowledge of OH&S regulations and lockout/tagout compliance.
•Solid understanding of mill operations, processes, and equipment.
•Strong task management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
•Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional coordination.
