NOTE: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) contract position anticipated to last for 3-6 months and possibly longer. Work will be fully remote within the contiguous United States.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) Document Control Support Specialist (DCSS) provides support by applying quality standards, ensuring documents are formatted according to NuScale standards and styles, and may also edit author input The DCSS responsibilities include updating databases, and management of electronic files.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities•Perform basic data base entry and word processing activities following procedures and documented instructions.
•Promotes departmental improvement and development.
•Provide technical editing support of company documentation, and to ensure that NuScale technical publications are prepared to the highest industry standard and consistent with corporate approved formats and styles.
•Uses strong technical editing, document planning, and organizational expertise to implement processes and formats that ensure NuScale subject matter experts (SME) are writing according to standardized work practices, procedures, and current guides.
•Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Assurance departmental procedures that instruct authors and other document creation staff how to work to NuScale’s standardized work practices.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills, Qualifications And Abilities
•Education/Certification :A minimum of an associate’s degree in Technical Communications, English, Journalism, or related field. Four years of highly relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
•Experience : A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a technical editor in the development of engineering/technical documents. Proficient with style rules and ability to understand complex content related to logic and reasoning . Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in document control and records management systems. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and SharePoint) required. Good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage personal workload.
•Industry Requirements :Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
