Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bilingual (Mandarin/English) Contract Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of contract creation, negotiation, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and legal frameworks to ensure that all contracts align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Provide input and incorporate supply chain constraints into the project schedule
- Conduct RFX’s for critical POs and contracts (long lead, high value, or high complexity)
- Prepare commercial evaluations, POs, and contracts
- Interface and collaborate with discipline engineers and construction team to progress on SC deliverables
- Protect interest of company by negotiating appropriate contractual provisions
- Conduct kicks off meeting and administer contracts
- Review invoices accuracy of approved LEMs against contracts and submission to funding system for payment
- Maintain procurement status report, accurate for submission to PMT and client
- Prepare accruals and cost forecasts and prepare justification for budget adjustments
- Perform contract closeout
- Ensure proper documentation to support any claims of back charges later
- Establish and maintain contractor relationships, including communications and negotiations with contractors
- Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain to improve overall supply chain effectiveness
- In conjunction with other stakeholders, develop and investigate new contractors, make recommendations as to their approvals, perform pre-qualifications as needed
- Have a Supply Chain, Business or Engineering degree
- 5+ years EPC or EPCM experience as Contracts Specialist- Must have experience contracting complex, critical and high value scopes in both lump sum and reimbursable setting
- Must be bilingual (English/Mandarin)
- Experienced in contract administration, claims and pre-dispute resolution
- Must understand scheduling and workload prioritization
- Team player and will collaborate for the overall success of the project and the company
- Preferably works well with systems and savvy with MS Office suite
- Experienced commercial and contractual negotiator
