Summary
The Contract Planning & Success Manager is responsible for directing NAES Engineered Performance (EP) ERP functions related to the turnover of commercial contracts, creation and maintenance of ERP projects and subprojects, building of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and alignment of payment and revenue recognition methods with client contracts. Serve as the Customer Service interface for the functional planning of contractual deliverables, logistics coordination and preparation of customer invoices for approval by Project Managers and Finance.
Primary Duties
•Functional Leadership: Provide overall leadership for the Order to Cash turnover process to perform planning functions in NAES ERP systems through the creation of projects. Provide guidance to teams for interpreting contracted scopes of supply and best practices related to development of WBS structures, budget creation and aligning contract budget and obligations with principals of project cost accounting. Maintain a high level of customer advocacy to aid NAES in meeting contractual obligations and deliverables. Coordinate with Supply Chain to forecast procurement needs based on backlog and scheduled deliverables. Prepare reports tracking project progress, cost, and schedule variances, and revise estimates at completion (EAC). Maintain an accurate forward forecast of expected revenue and margin (backlog). Lead project meetings with key stakeholders to align budgets and forecasts.
•Strategic Leadership: Maintain reports of contracted deliverables (backlog) coordinating with others on the timing of future needs. Apply Material Resource Planning (MRP) techniques for short term and long-term planning, allowing adequate planning and execution intervals to meet On Time Delivery (OTD) requirements.
•Participate in strategic mergers and acquisitions (M&A), reviewing target companies’ processes and advise on best practices for integrating with NAES processes and policies facilitating seamless transitions.
•Customer Service: Maintain reports and understanding of contractual deliverables, customer expectations, invoice requirements, communicating directly with customers or supporting NAES efforts through Project Managers. Ensure all deliverables including shipments, invoices, and other documents are prepared in accordance with customer contracts.
•Process Improvement: Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Requires coordination with Order to Cash and Commercial resources to plan and prepare the ERP environment to execute on contract variations. Continually seek process improvements that increases organization efficiency and improves overall speed to market.
•Compliance: Ensure compliance with the laws, business guidelines, and ethical standards set by the company, local authorities, and government agencies. Ensure compliance with relevant SarbOx and JSox control activities. Administer compliance with the company’s DOA (Delegation of Authority).
Working Relationships
Reports to the Vice President of Engineered Performance, subordinates include ERP Planners, MRP Planners and Customer Service.
Compensation
The initial compensation will range from $147,800 - $170,000 based on qualifications and experience.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired (Project Management and Cost Accounting fields preferred)
•10+ years’ experience working in complex ERP systems with Project Management Accounting functionality (e. D365 F&SC, Business Central, Oracle, SAP)
•10+ years in customer service functions with direct customer interactions
Specific Skills and Knowledge
•Comprehensive understanding of contract budgets, Work Breakdown Structures and their relationships with project cost accounting
•Comprehensive understanding of project management principles of Estimates at Completion, Cost Variance, Schedule Variance and other measurement techniques
•Mature understanding of planning, Material Resource Planning and project forecasting
•Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, manage, and develop top talent
•Extensive knowledge and awareness of revenue recognition policies and procedures specifically Percent of Completion, Earned Value and Completed Contract methods.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Normal working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Travel may be required for internal and external meetings. Extended hours may be required during travel. All employees participate in the NAES Fitness for Duty program.
